We are delighted to announce that the winner of the Scottish Castles Association Nigel Tranter Award 2024 is The Landmark Trust.
Scottish Castles Association Chair Dorothy Newlands of Lauriston presented the award to the Director of The Landmark Trust, Dr Anna Keay, in Edinburgh in September 2024. Established in honour of our founding President, historian and writer Nigel Tranter, the award recognises outstanding contributions to Scotland’s castle heritage, and this year celebrates The Landmark Trust’s work to restore castles for people to enjoy on self-catering breaks in Scotland. The Scottish Castles Association visited the Trust’s Fairburn Tower in Ross-shire on our autumn tour.
